  Blessed Love, My spirit is troubled…Am noticing the word fornication no longer means the word fornication!……..And what is called fornication according to scriptures, has now been replaced with the term “FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS”…smh…while fornication now means strictly and only...idolatry, adultery, incest etc….and no longer has its own definition which is all illicit, illegal, prohibited sex outside the ordinance of marriage period and not limited to any specific type… such as adultery, Idolatry, sodomy or incest etc…. Which is the very difference between the word Fornication and Idolatry and/or Adultery/Incest.


    A true synonym for the word “Fornication” would be “Whoredom” or “Harlotry”….


    For the words we say fornication means…ie adultery, idolatry fall under the same above categories of “Fornication” and “Whoredom” the Hebrew word “Zanah/H281”. ie “HO”!


    Adultery and Idolatry are forms of Physical and Spiritual FORNICATION. But fornication itself is not limited to none of these…but includes all of these and all other sexual activities conducted “outside the ordinance of marriage contained in Law” whereby a BRIDE PRICE was NEVER PAID! For broad is the way of a broad whose way leads unto destruction..”broadway”….but NARROW is the way that leads unto Life.


In OT times…..If the Goods weren’t virgin than it came at a cheaper cost!
This is the dishonor done to a family when a man defiles a Father’s daughter, without paying any Bride Price/Marrying Her/COMMITTING to that which he is hitting in bed..….. cuz now………… when he gives her back to her father after 1st defiling her…the next man not paying full PROPER Bride for dat anymore, cuz dat no longer proper!!!!She no longer virgin although she be still in her father’s house…. The man that defiled her is the man that needs to marry her now, according to the law. But if he is not…then the next man can get the non-virgin goods for a discount. Cause the Father would just be happy a suiter is still interested in the defiled goods resulting from “pre-marital sex”...in the first place The future man would have to take her to the nuptial chamber knowing now he not the first to “hit that in bed”/ unloose /humble her. smh


    So, it either Virgin or Married, raped or even divorced, or widowed…anything in between according to scripture is just Whoredom/Zanah/Fornication. And so this is what this study is about and will prove!  …Which is another reason why we must all repent, born again and make straight and narrow the paths of YHWH!

36 times the Hebrew word “Zanah” (for Fornication/harlotry) was translated into the English word = “Harlot”

So although in the greek the word fornication includes Homosexuality, Idolatry, incest, bestiality the Greek word Porneia and Hebrew word Zanah for fornication includes all these sins committed outside of the ordinance of marriage but is not exclusive to any one of these sins and include general “whoredom”, “prostitution”, “one night stands”, “friends with benefits” scenerios….for all these scenarios once again is a description of “SEX OUTSIDE THE ORDINANCE OF MARRIAGE”….and all the various forms of it fall under the word “Zanah” in OT and “Porneia” in the Greek – where the word “Porn” Comes from too!…In fact:

Example where the word “Fornication/Zanah/H2181” was used in the context that did not involve idolatry or adultery biblically:

So after now, 1st committing FORNICATION (illegal sex outside of the ordinance of marriage) he then approaches the Father of Dinah to ask for his daughters hand in marriage!


This pissed Simeon and Levi off….
They called it defilement:

And then after slaughtering all the men in the land they said:
Gen 34:31 And they said, Should he deal with our sister as with an HARLOT?


The word “Harlot” used here again is the same harlot H2181 – “Zanah” we read as the Hebrew definition for the English word “fornication”.


So what did Levi and Simeon consider to be “fornication” reason why they slew all the men of Shechem ?


This:
Gen 34:2 And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and LAY with her, and DEFILED her.


The brothers knowing this said:
Gen 34:13 And the sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father deceitfully, and said, because he had DEFILED Dinah their sister:
And they called that defilement:
Gen 34:31 And they said, Should he deal with our sister as with an HARLOT?
….Using the word Zanah/h2181-which means fornication, Harlot, as we’ve just read.


Now did the prince of Schechem commit adultery? Script does not make any mention of him being married, and it was not idolatry….so it was just prohibited sex outside the ordinance of marriage:
Gen 34:8 And Hamor communed with them, saying, The soul of my son Shechem longeth for your daughter: I pray you give her him to wife.


So they had sex with each other BEFORE becoming husband and wife and paying her bride price with witnesses: This was the sin! – called FORNICATION / ZANAH which means HARLOTRY/WHOREDOM etc.  And we reviewed the definition of a “whore/ one who plays the harlot” already.


You don’t sex a man’s daughter then after that ask the father for her hand in marriage and expect smooth sailing. Cuz it won’t be. The man is to come to father  = BEFORE =  defiling the Father’s daughter. This was the disrespect/sin in the whole matter that Simeon and Levi were not having!


Dinah did not scream, and it never said it was rape, so again it because she just did not do it in the right way, if she wants that man to be her husband/ lover, the first step is to bring him to her father and introduce them and let daddy collect his proper BRIDE PRICE then he may now take her to his own home/marriage bed to defile her, instead of sneaking out of daddy’s house just to have sex…..this is what is called “fornication”, mutual consent to sex outside the ordinance of marriage. Ie zana, fornication, harlotry.


If she collected money then it would have been “prostitution”.


Idolatry, Adultry, Sodomy are all forms of Fornication being “illicit sexual intercourse outside of the ordinance of marriage” - which requires a bride price to be paid PRIOR to any sexual defilement! But fornication is not limited to the means in which it comes outside that same ordinance of marriage.


So any sexual activity done BEFORE MARRIAGE like the prince of Schechem hath done with Yacob’s daughter, PRIOR to asking Yacob for his own daughter’s hand in marriage is =  Fornication/Sin.


Simeon Levi killed all the men in Schechem they saw because their sister had voluntary sex with a man unbenoyance to their father Yacob, and that was just pure disrespect and in their eyes worthy of death! The Prince should have spoken to the family first before defiling Dinah, even Yacob’s only daughter and the brothers only sister.


Again Another example of Sex outside the ordinance of marriage but not exclusive to the form of idolatry/adultery/sodomy/incest…is with Rahab the harlot….


Jos 2:1 And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot's(ZANAH/H2181) house, named Rahab, and lodged there.


This does not mean Rahab was a lesbian, married, or an adultress necessarily, depending on her lovers marital status. The word Zanah used here just meant she was a “hoe”….she had “multiple partners and married to none!” – that is why she could have let these guys into her home with much ease and no fear like she did all the others into her house for mere pleasure/money.


This is not to take away from her act of faith which she righteously displayed as well.


And then again we have :
Lev 21:7 They shall not take a wife [that is] a whore (ZANAH/H2181), or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he [is] holy unto his God.


Again that means…. do not take a woman that has been already defiled and humbled by another man who never married her. Woman has to be righteously wearing white at the altar…and the marriage bed should be stained with that token/proof of blood!!!…Else the bride price would need to be seriously discounted and the fact to being not a virgin-Known to the suiter!


And again we have :
Jdg 11:1 Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he [was] the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah.


Ie. His mother was defiled and simply not married. – but a Zanah.


And last but not least there is a difference between a :


1) Virgin
2) Wife
3) Concubine
4) Whore/Zanah


1) Virgin – Never married, Never defiled.
2) Wife – Legally Married / defiled.
3) Concubine – Lives in Master;s house, but Not legally Married and defiled.
4) Whore -  Lives on her own, has no master, not legally married, not virgin – just defiled!


The 1st three are recognized in Torah/Law, however the latter #4 is an abomination/sin/transgression of the law worthy of death according to law!


1Cr 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,


If fornication meant only Idolatry/Adultry then when would it ever just mean fornication – any form of illicit sex outside the ordinance of marriage/whoredoms?


Fornication means whoredom ZANAH/H2181– all whoredom is not idolatry or adultery, there is one night stands, friends with benefits and all these slack terms we come up with still falls under the biblical term Fornication/Zanah/Porneia (in the greek)used to describe them all!


So let us not deceive ourselves and think its ok to have friends with benefits, and one night stands etc… this still falls and will always fall under the category of Fornication/Whoredom biblically.
